I appreciate & respect that, and they know full well that I'm much more likely to continue using their products in the future. I have some old products that when I contact the manufacturer, they are more than happy to help me in any way that they're able to. It would be far better for them to show some kind of appreciation for legacy users than be the total ASSES that they really are :bigfinger. I'm not saying they should spend time, money & resources training all their staff with their oldest versions, but if anyone happens to still be around from a time of any of their legacy versions, it's only right in my opinion they at least 'give it a try' to help someone, rather than tell them outright they're SOL and they need to PAY more money by buying the newest version. I don't think it's unreasonable at all to offer some assistance for 'any' of their legacy products. I don't need support for anything, and luckily haven't needed much of anything in the way of support from Steinberg, but when I DID contact support, it was an ULTIMATE FAIL, simply pathetic as is currently Phil's experience Their user forum is also a big FAIL on Steinbergs part, they're far more interested in 'policing' than actually 'helping' anyone! I'm using hardware & software much older than that. Let alone Phil using his version of Cubase 5. I personally feel that 5 years is nothing.
